Ufaa - which means 'happiness' in Maldivian - by celebrated Chef Jereme Leung is an innovative Chinese culinary concept which offers authentic experiences highlighting the iconic flavors from the distinctive cultures and provinces across China. The restaurant presents various dining options including fresh handmade crisp noodles and dim sum; premium hotpot with Chef Leung's signature broth and top quality produce, as well as exquisite set dinners designed by the maestro.

Located two meters underground, the Wine Cellar is the setting for dégustation dinners hosted by our chef and sommelier, who skillfully match a five-course gourmet menu with up to eight hand-picked wines. 12 guests sit around the table next to the sommelier and participate in an interactive journey around the best of the old and new world wine regions, presented on personal video screens. The menu is different each time, allowing chef to showcase the best ingredients of the season. Please note that reservations are essential and that we cannot accept bookings for children aged under 18.

Set on stilts 50 metres out to sea above patches of coral reef, this open-air à la carte restaurant specialises in freshly grilled seafood and meat matched with an eclectic wine menu that showcases our sommelier's selections of old and new world wines. Diners should keep an eye out for sting rays and manta rays that sometimes pass by underneath.

Our open-air over-water restaurant is the best kept dining secret on the island. The cuisine in Mandhoo is a true delight. The menu is specially prepared to energize, nourish, detoxify, relax and fortify the body using organic produce grown on the island and imported from around the world. The chefs' cooking technique pays focused attention to specific tastes, temperature, moisture level and density as they all affect the mind and body in different ways.

Rated "the most beautiful restaurant in the world" by the New York Daily News in 2014, Ithaa sits five metres below the surface, offering 180-degree panoramic views of the vibrant coral gardens surrounding it. Ithaa (meaning 'mother of pearl' in the Maldivian language of Dhivehi) serves contemporary European cuisine in a six-course set dinner menu. Expect indulgences such as caviar for dinner while the four-course lunch menu offers lighter fare. Also open for mid-morning cocktails and can be booked privately for breakfast, weddings or other special occasions.

The only buffet restaurant at our resort, here diners indulge in food from eight kitchens which provide a culinary tour of the world under one roof together with an exciting wine concept that matches old world against new world wines. The floor is soft sand and outdoor tables are under a garden of scented frangipani trees making this a barefoot dining experience. The eight kitchens are: Asian, Italian, Japanese, Indian, the Grill, the Deli, the bakery and desserts.

The Maldives is justifiably famous for the beauty of the underwater world. While our house reef is outstanding, nothing beats a trip to nearby coral reefs. Whether you choose snorkelling hopping or a snorkelling safari, the idea is the same: a local wooden boat, called a dhoni, will take you to some of the more spectacular reefs where you can snorkel to your heart's content. There's no obligation to be in the water all time either; the roof of the dhoni makes the perfect sunbathing spot to re-energise for your next dip.

If the idea of playing Robinson Crusoe on a picture-perfect island appeals to you, then a deserted island trip is a 'must try'. Hop on board and you're soon dropped off at a deserted island, just the two of you. It's certainly a lot more luxurious than Crusoe's experience, though: a picnic table, chilled drinks and umbrella will be waiting for you. Your man Friday will even give you a mobile phone so you can call for someone to pick you up when you're done swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing and exploring the island. Keep an eye out for dolphins on the way over to the island.
